the concept of decibel drum & bass was created back in the hazy summer days of 2005. after some successful test runs at smaller venues, the word was spreading and the vibe was building across preston that a big drum & bass event was in the pipeline.
by september 2005, all the months of planning and experimentation came to fruition. b-52 and sublow started their work to bring a quality monthly drum & bass night to the soundscape of preston's nightlife.
their first 12 months saw a much needed change in venue to the impressive 53 degrees, a change in name from uprising to decibel and a link up with the mighty metropolis from manchester. we formed a talented team of staff and resident artists from around the north west to play on rotation alongside some of the world's best drum & bass artists like pendulum, nicky blackmarket, adam f, the scratch perverts, skibadee, clipz, ray keith, chase & status, lemon d and radio 1 xtra's dj sappo!!
