The hotel does need updating, esp the rooms. We paid for deluxe and did expect something alittle better than a ordinary room that we normally stay in, apart from 2 bottles of water and 2 little bottles of wine extra. hmmmm! ~I do think the hotel needs a big revamp the floors are creaky and u can hear everything that goes on up above you and around you. The staff are friendly and do alot for you, my stay was nice overall and yes i would go back. Thank you | |||||||||||||||

Reception staff are nice and helpful. We paid for a late check out and got woke up by cleaning staff. The breakfast was terrible for the price, cold and greasy comes to mind. Restaurant opens too late but if the breakfast was anything to go by then we were glad. Way over priced for the standard it provides. | |||||||||||||||

| Billy Jean Murkin | Review of Tall Trees Overall rating:  Walking into the grand entrance you expect something a little bit more from this hotel. The receptionists were handy and found our Skiddle booking straight away. Once leaving the marble fortune of the entrance you end up in basically an alright travellodge. The hotel needs drastically modernising, it might have been the venue of dreams 20 years ago but now the koi carp in reception have a nicer room. I mean, it's not bad for £30 if it was night - but I paid £125 for a luxury room which was the same as my friends 'executive room' The location to the club is perfect and i guess this is why people stay here, though I would suggest they accept thats all the hotel is good for and lower the prices. I didn't get any sleep cause of people running up and down corridors and banging on the wrong door to be let in. | |||||||||||||||

Overall rating:  Room was comfortable but the decor needs updating.Very close to club but this also meant we didn't get any sleep due to people shouting down the corridors. Ordered breakfast to the room for 10am and when it arrived it was cold so we asked for a fresh one. We had already paid the £16.50 for the 2 breakfasts and it then arrived and appeared to have been microwaved. The sausages were spongy and the 'fresh' toast was still stone cold. At £8.25 each I would expect a breakfast cooked to order not one that had obviously been sitting around for ages and was then reheated in a microwave. I complained at reception and was reassured that she would tell the kitchen- what use is that? I'm still £16 out of pocket for possibly the worst breakfast I've ever eaten. Wasn't offered a refund hence this review! Some things to learn about customer service too!! Had a great stay at the Old Windmill in Yarm and serviced apartments in the area which are much better value and I would recommend both rather than a stay at Tall Trees Hotel. | |||||||||||||||

Four of us stayed here for Gatecrashers birthday on Saturday 20th September Upon arriving it became clear there was a wedding on who seemed to take priority over a lot of the hotel. This wasn't too much of a problem, apart from when we wanted to eat, we were told to sit down and wait 10 minutes for someone to serve us, which never happened so we went elsewhere. The corridors looked slightly tired, but the bedrooms themselves were clean and pleasant. The TV wasn't tuned into anything and wireless internet was too expensive to consider. All in all a great stay, made even better by its proximity to the nightclub for which we were visiting. The rate wasn't bad but i've paid less for better. | |||||||||||||||
