BenSkiddle Offline Points:3017 Posts: 2756 : 11 | BenSkiddle's Review We stayed here when going to Tall Trees in September. We booked a superior room and when we arrived were upgraded to a Cottage. For just £65 we got a fully equiped cottage, with lounge, kitchen, a seperate bedroom and a small back yard. Very quant, a bit old fashioned but comfortable and as it comes with a fridge, freezer and oven/microwave you can cook for yourself, or just chill the drinks before going out. There's also a fairly decent pub next door, serving decent food, All in all a very good deal for just £65 for 2 of us! | |||||||||||||||

| Anonymous | Very nice We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Room was clean, modern and clean towels were provided along with shampoo and shower gel. Were invited in for a free drink and hotel organised all our taxi needs. Around ten minutes drive from Yarm Town centre (about 2 miles) but local pub close by aand wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. Highly recommended | |||||||||||||||

Firstly it wasnt an apartment. It was a bungalow on a housing estate in Ingleby Barwick and as for luxury....well put it this way we had to wash the glasses and cups before we used them. In addition there wasnt one cup or glass that matched! Hardly 'luxury'.
As for location. We were impressed with the internet photos but our bungalow was a good distance from the main Old Mill. Maybe 1.5 miles as the crow flies but ten extra mins away in the car and certainly not near enough to enjoy any of the facilities offered at the Old Mill. Very disappointing.
To be fair the accomodation was fine for our party and served its purpose at a reasonable price but it is not as advertised.
I would also add that I did complain about the lack of cleanliness in the kitchen (one glass was sticky with old coke!) in the morning when I handed back the keys. The chap I spoke to was nice and said he was grateful for my feed back as they had just employed new cleaners. He said that he would ensure that someone would call me to apologise. I am still waiting!
