| mariner | Review of Sporting Lodge Inn Middlesbrough Overall rating:  This was booked for me by an agency basis the need for a gym and good Internet. The Gym was excellent and included in the cost as was the Internet which, during this stay was abysmal!!!. The system is supposed to have been upgraded recently- I remain to be convinced.This is a deal breaker for me...... The room was clean and well provided with toiletries etc but a supposed Satellite TV was limited to 10 channels. (Pay movies at £8.15- not when there is a huge cinema just down the road) The main failing, and hopefully this is a hiccup... the food was terrible. My evening steak was burnt and oily and breakfast buffet was suspended, probably due to lack of guests,but the a la carte full english was almost cold. However complaints were quickly and efficiently dealt with and I will probably try this one again. | |||||||||||||||

| Michael Preston | Mr Overall rating:  I was very impressed with the standard and friendliness of the hotel, together with the breakfast arrangements and facilities for the hotel residents to take advantage of the other facilities available to non-residents the hotel e.g. I took advantage of the opportunity to have a sauna before my breakfast, which was very refreshing. I would have liked to have gone for a swim and used the jucuzi but I had not brought my swimming trunks with me. Maybe that is something the hotel could explore and offer - possibly at a price - to residents who come unprepared. My only disappointment, which I expressed to the reception, was that I discovered there was no Gideon Bible in my bedroom. I have appreciated reading one in other Hotels which I have visited. The staff were unable to give a reason as to why they were not available in the Hotel. Perhaps you could look into this matter as well | |||||||||||||||

I like the roms and the swimmingpool,and the restaurant was nice to.
This time i will try the spa and I hope that will bee nice to.
