Description

AA 5 Diamond thatched country cottage hotel in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, approximately halfway between his birthplace and Max Gate, where Hardy died. The restaurant and lounge have exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces, while the bedrooms have modern facilities including colour televisions and DVD players, direct-dial telephones and en-suite bathrooms with both bath and shower. The hotel's restaurant serves excellent food and reasonably priced wines in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.Yalbury Cottage is close to the World Hertiage Coastal walk and is surrounded by beautiful countyside. It is the ideal base for many attractions and places of interest. From 1 June to 30 September, room-only stays on Saturdays must be for a minimum of two nights or are subject to a Saturday supplement of £25 per person. (Please check with the hotel as we can sometimes make exceptions depending on the pattern of bookings on the Friday night.)
