THE FOSSIL TREE Bed and Breakfast is a welcoming and homely 200 year old guest house formally Stanhope Castle's Hunting Lodge. The Castle itself forms the focal point of the village and dates from 1795. Built on the original location of a medieval castle. The Fossil Tree BandB has been tastefully appointed to give its guests a comfortable, relaxed and friendly home from home BandB with views over the Norman Church of St Thomas's dating from 1200 AD and our BandB also uniquely looks directly onto the famous 300 Million year old giant Fossil Tree.
