A warm Scottish welcome awaits you at Turas-Mara. This beautifully maintained victorian villa is over 100 years old. Less than 10 minutes from Prestwick Airport by road or rail. Only a 5 minutes walk will take you to Ayr town centre with all its varied shops, restaurants and entertainment. The railway station also a 5 minute walk. For the comfort of all our guests there is totally no smoking throughout the property. All our bedrooms have en-suite with a shower, complimentary hospitality tray, digital flat screen tv with freeview, DVD, CD and radioalarm, hairdryers, and other extras to help you enjoy your stay. If required some of our rooms have space for an additional single bed (?15.00 per night).Wi-Fi internet access is available. Ironing facilities are also available.There is off-street parking available. At the front is a well tended colourful garden which is overlooked by our dining room.Included in the price is a choice of breakfasts to suit all tastes and diets. Breakfast is normally from 08.00 to 09.00 (between 07.00 to 08.00 by request). For our guests departing before 07.00 we do a takeway picnic breakfast. We also offer a Lite Bite Supper Menu to our guests (not included in price). Check-in is from 15.30 to 22.30. Arrangements can be made to accommodate any of our guests arriving earlier or later than this. Just let us know at time of booking.Turas-Mara is the ideal base for golf with all South Ayrshire's finest golf courses a short drive. We can arrange golf packages which can be upgraded to include transport, with airport transfers, andor packed lunches.Also within walking distance are the racecourse, Scottish Bowling Centre and seafront. We are also situated in the heart of Burns country with his birth place and heritage centre only 5 minutes by road. You can arrange a walk with Burns.You can also have a day trip to the Island of Arran (Little Scotland) or Glasgow (1 Hour) or Edinburgh (2 Hours) or a sail on the Paddle Steamer Waverley.There are cycle routes, River Ayr Walk and the Ayrshire Costal path on our doorstep.
