As a DJ above all Sy likes to please the crowd. When Sy started out behind the decks he was best known for his upfront blend of Soulful House and US Garage. Now his Electro House sets are fast gaining him equal status through his track selection, which is infused with great vocals and samples often incorporating his love for Classic House into the electronic era. Sy is a very diverse and eclectic DJ and often likes to take his crowd on a journey through the musical fusion of his styles! For Sy DJing is not just about his floor filling track selection, It's about audience/artist interaction and communication, understanding the feelings of the crowd to create a relationship and controlling people's emotions, escorting them to a better place!

Sy Lyon started out DJing when he was 15 in local nightspots in Barrow-in-Furness (South Lakes). There he learnt the art of mixing on some basic panel CD decks and later moved on to vinyl whilst working in Ibiza in the summer of 2002. It was here he was introduced to clubland in a baptism of fire and his love affair with House music began! Sy is now an accomplished DJ and Promoter and has been running his own nights for the past 3 years under Who Built That House? and there is not a major venue in the South Lakes area that Sy hasn't played at!

Sy moved to Manchester in Jan 2006 to further his career. There he had a residency at Joy bar and made appearances at the Cocoa Rooms and Bedlum as well as returning to The Lakes for regular guest appearances. In June 2007 Sy relocated to Lancaster and with the change came new residencies at Mood and Cuba, two of the hottest venues in the city. Sy also made his Ibiza debut in August playing for La Vita at Hush. He received great accolades from the promoters and is set to play for them again in 2008.So far this year Sy has continued his residency at Cuba whilst making guest appearances at the Lounge (Lancaster's main after hours venue), for RAW at The Sugarhouse and for Evolve in Preston. As a result of Sy's guest sets at The Lounge coupled with his positive attitude towards developing the Lancaster's club scene he has secured a weekly Saturday residency at The Lounge for himself and his brand. Who Built That House? at The Lounge will be a celebration of House Music! Expect to hear an eclectic blend across the whole spectrum of House from stellar residents!
Over the last few years Sy has had the opportunity to play alongside many top DJs such as Paul Wilkins, Jon Constantine, John Kelly, Krysko and Miss Divine

Sy's first production P.J.C Project Vs Sy Lyon - Follow You, has been signed to Nitrous Records and is due out soon! The track is an Electro House collaboration with Phil Caine (P.J.C Project) and with a driving bassline and a great hook it is sure to do some damage on the dance floors! The track is also scheduled to have re-release with a vocal sampling Una Mas - I Will Follow in the near future! Watch this space!
Sy has also got a Foundation Degree in Sound Engineering & Design and is due to start a Degree in Music Technology at Lancaster University in October.
