Emotiquon LIVE @ King Tuts (May 2008), 8th May 2008
Music genres: House, Breaks, Techno, Prog House, Electro, Alternative, Punk, Disco Punk, Electronica
Labels: Unsigned
The synthesizer-crazed duo EMOTIQUON met whilst training as double-decker bus drivers in Glasgow, learning only of each other's electronic music interests whilst passing under a low bridge at a terrifyingly high speed!
Emotiquon pursue a love of hypnotic melodies, complex drum rhythms, and rolling bass lines. Scattering samples from their favourite television programs and films throughout their music, they come across as comedic, upbeat, and rather silly.
Influences come from a love of 80's electronic pop & the early 90's rave scene, to modern electro artists such as Justice & Aphex Twin. With a dash of rock & dub thrown in for spice!

2008 is shaping up to be a good year for Emotiquon!
Playing their first EVER live gig in December 2007 (at Glasgow's pioneering electronic night "TRONIC"), the duo have been receiving a blizzard of attention from promoters and musicians alike.
With dates set to support upcoming electro-punk band We Smoke Fags @ King Tuts Wah Wah Hut (a coveted slot within the music business), and Grand National @ The Altitude Festival in the French Alps, they're on a high note and are aiming even higher!
Emotiquon DJ sets mix live synthesizers and drum machines alongside a MacBook (running Ableton LIVE) and traditional Technics 1210 turntables, making sure that any idea or inspiration can be performed with ease!
