URGULA aka John Mclaren is a techno producer,subplant label boss and club promoter from Glasgow...John's first journey into music was promoting electronic legends THE PRODIGY as a teenager.since then he has progressed to become a much respected producer of modular music. Also running Glasgows Subplant Records and Scotlands only open mic electronic night [ Noisebox] . Urgula's live modular sound is force that must be heard....the hum of sonic machines. @urgula.

Andrew has been playing to Manchester crowds for many years, his name has become household to many Manchester clubbers, and has seen him play his well-developed electric sound at the best clubs at home and abroad. Andrew's passion for dance music stems from his love of Rare Groove, Salsoul, Electro Funk & Disco, and his feel good music seems to captivate audiences wherever he plays.
In 1989 Andrew organised the first of the Bowlers raves in Manchester, on the strength of the events success he was offered a residency at the Canal Café Bar near the Hacienda. The Canal Bar soon became the main feeder bar for clubbers going to the Hacienda and Manchester Boardwalk during the early 90s. Andrew became resident DJ at 2Kinky in Manchester, his residency there spanned over a decade, he was also resident DJ at the legendary Angels nightclub in Burnley and played regularly at Dave Haslam's "Freedom" club night at Manchester Boardwalk.
Since joining Hed Kandi 2 years ago Andrew has travelled the world playing the Kandi sound as well as most of the UK's top clubs, on top of his busy DJ schedule he has been hard at work in the studio with fellow Kandi DJ David Dunne where their "Triple D" project is well under way with remixes of Tyken's "Every Word" and "Soulshakin" by Dennis Christopher, already under their belt.
Don't worry 'techno police' we have asked him to play an upfront techno set of dancefloor drops and bangers.
