Spanning an expansive range of genres — from funk, soul and jazz to punk, disco and hip-hop — his sets uncover rare and often overlooked musical gems from across the Middle East and North Africa. Digging deep into records originally released between the 1960s and 1980s, Stürtz breathes new life into these sounds for modern dancefloors, while also championing contemporary artists from the region through more recent releases on the label. Habibi Funk occupies a truly unique space in the global dance music landscape.
