I was unfortunate in missing the music I wanted to hear but that can easily happen in a 12 hour set list, so it didn't bother me to much. I thought the bar service was excellent on the night and the atmosphere was good. My biggest issue was that there was no countdown, I could go to any club or event on NYE and I would always expect a countdown or some kind of special celebration. I knew that staff had a 20 minute break over midnight to celebrate themselves which is completely understandable but I felt that something should of been set up for the customers as they should be the priority.

Review

Had one of the best nights out in ages. The music was spot on, a mix of deep house, nu disco. No idiots and a great atmosphere till 6am. Definitely will be going again

Good points - music - all the DJ's on the night were very good.  I had booked tickets to specially see Waifs and Strays, and they didn't disappoint.  Them playing their track 'Body Shiver' made my night!
Im not quite sure what the venue is trying to achieve - is it trying to be a classy venue, appealing to stuck up gangsters and 'wanna be's' or going for the underground basement feel - especially with this type of music.  The venue and the music just clashed for my liking.  This night would have been better located at Joshua Brooks or Sankeys, where there is no worrys about people caring what they look like and are just there to enjoy the music.  So basically thumbs up for Socio Deep as a night, thumbs down for the venue Avici White.
