LIT IBIZA TAKEOVER returns to Leeds for its 9th year ☀️ 🌴
Bank Holiday Sunday 24 May 2026 — Crowded House rooftop
Leeds’ 2026 calendar locks in a staple this spring as LIT Ibiza Takeover returns for its 9th year in the city, launching its 2026 series with an opening party at Crowded House on Bank Holiday Sunday, 24 May.
What began as an intimate, word-of-mouth gathering has evolved into a party with a true cult following—anchored in the raw spirit of Ibiza’s underground and reinterpreted for UK dancefloors.
At the centre of it all is founder Sara Garvey (aka Comfy Bella), a DJ, producer, singer and curator whose vision has shaped LIT into a community-driven platform that bridges house, afro, garage and deeper Balearic sounds. With releases on her own label Moonunit Records / Soothsayer / Warp Records & Hardtimes Records playing alongside world heavy weights in the scene, her sets embody that identity: emotionally resonant, groove-heavy and rooted in connection.
This year’s cutting edge opening lineup reflects that ethos, bringing together selectors with deep musical pedigree and global reach.
Tommy Rawson steps in as a key figure on the bill, a deeply respected DJ and producer from Watford with a longstanding connection to the UK underground. Formerly at the helm of the now-defunct Fresh Minute Music label, Rawson has built a reputation as both a selector and a tastemaker with a wide-reaching knowledge of music. His DJ career has taken him to revered platforms such as Southport Weekender and Bestival, while sharing lineups with Gilles Peterson, Deetron, Karizma, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Jimpster and Roy Davis Jr. As a producer, his catalogue spans releases on Local Talk, Boogie Cafe, King Street and Bergerac, with support from key figures including DJ Harvey, Benji B, Dego, Jamie 3:26 and Dave Lee. His Fresh Minute imprint also saw success through licensing deals with institutions like Fabric and Ministry of Sound. Alongside his club work, Rawson has maintained a strong radio presence, from Ministry of Sound FM and Rinse FM to his current monthly residency on SWU FM.
Also joining the lineup is Bear Winder. Born in Spain and raised in South London, she channels the UK’s rich house and garage heritage through the lens of Ibiza’s more subterranean spaces. With close to 20 years behind the decks, Bear is known for her seamless blending of raw ’90s textures, vocal-led cuts and instinctive, floor-focused programming. Her journey has seen her support Mike Dunn, command the Defected Basement, release on DVINE Sounds and become a regular at Pikes Ibiza—cementing her as both a student and torchbearer of the culture.
From Belgium, Young Fresh brings a sharper, high-impact energy. A global DJ and producer, his productions and remixes have found their way into sets worldwide, backed by an extensive touring schedule that includes Tomorrowland and clubs across Europe and North America. His latest release, “1 Thing Rally,” continues to gain traction as a peak-time weapon.
Completing the core lineup is DJ Martin (LFO), a true house music veteran whose legacy stretches back to the formative years of UK electronic music. As part of the wider LFO orbit and beyond, Martin’s influence on the scene is both foundational and enduring, bringing a sense of history and authority to the booth with. Master class experience in every set.
Set high above the city, Crowded House provides a panoramic rooftop backdrop that frames the day/night against the Leeds skyline—where open-air decadence meets boutique festival intensity. On the terrace, LIT’s signature sound system takes centre stage: rich, immersive and finely tuned, delivering every low-end pulse and vocal detail with clarity and depth. It’s a space where luxury meets underground—refined surroundings without compromising the raw, communal energy at the heart of the dancefloor.
With more names still to be announced, this Bank Holiday Sunday day/night party marks the beginning of another season where LIT continues to connect dancers across generations—honouring the roots while pushing forward.
