The Christmas Cabaret Showcase

Cleverco is back once again with their illest behaviour at Hockley Social Club for a Christmas Cabaret to jingle-bell-rock your socks!

First launching their show at Digbeth Dining Club in 2018, achieving record numbers across the Lower Trinity Street venues, they're back with a bang for a second time at our new home in Hockley. Serving up some of the finest talents on the UK cabaret scene earlier this year, the audience was blown away by wax-pouring, balloon-popping deviants, dance qweens and tummy-ache-inducing comedy from a supermarket moonlighting Elvis… 

Now spreading festive cheer on Wednesday 20th December, the mad mélange of entertainment will be hosted by Mr Clever and Shady de Femme, the dichotomous duo poised to take you on a journey through the wickedly weird and wildly wonderful…

Cleverco’s head-honcho Mr Cleveris a self-taught showbiz fool ready to tickle your wits and bring out the belly laughs with his eccentric comedy bones. From host general and quizmaster extraordinaire to treading the boards, now thoroughly washed out from the lack of fame and fortune - he's back, and this time it's for good… or bad!

Shady de Femme is a performance artist, and award-winning cabaret entertainer trained studiously in classical theatre and the art of the tease. Thespian, feminist and fabulous, roasting is her emcee game - the shade is nature and name. Highly skilled in all manners of captivation, she's filthy good fun and here for the sauce!

Headlining our Christmassy affair are international musicians The Cash Cows. Comprised of debonair gents Brendan Rowley and Robbie Humphries, they'll milk the occasion to raise the roof and rock the dancefloor with all your favourite tunes with inimitable style and party flair. Mooving in from globe-trotting all year round, this festive duet come with a solid gold guarantee of good times. Prepare for magical music that isn't easy to categorise and playfully impossible to predict.

We also have Europe's burlesque-iest vintage songstresses, TheVixenTrio. With triple-threat multidisciplinary skills, they promise to set our stage, audience and undergarments alight! Ascending from humble beginnings to internationally renowned and "bloody show-stopping", presenting their faultless award-winning close harmony vocals, cheeky choreography, creative costuming and the occasional strip - this threesome offers yuletide silliness at its most sublime!

Next up, we're treating you to global drag icon Harvey Rose. Famed as the fabulous face of disco brand Glitterbox, Harvey is a whirling diva of multi-genre movement and tongue-in-cheek comedy that'll have you cackling into the New Year. Add captivating stage presence to their unique talent blend of high-energy dance, sack-loads of charisma and costuming skills that out-shine Santa's workshop - a glamorous gift from us to you! 

Finally, Lily Lustrejoins our line-up to strike us off Santa's nice list with her devilish dance. A salacious sorceress of striptease, Lily is a seductive sensation and professional undresser, sparkling on stages from Oslo to Amsterdam, Paris to Berlin and beyond. Embodying sensuality with her mesmerising stage presence, she dazzles in elaborate costumes and delightful campery - it may not be just Christmas coming early…

Our fantastic food traders will be available from 5pm until 7.15pm, with the Cleverco performance kicking off at 7.30pm. So, arrive early to get your fill of delicious street food, but remember to leave some room - it's cabaret capers for dessert!
