Deadname or the Modern Frankenstein - new queer comedy-drama
What makes a man? Victor Frankenstein thought he knew, but when he’s confronted by a glamorous, queer vision of his Creature, he starts to doubt he ever was one.
Writer-director Erik Booth stars alongside Adam Dorey in this debut one-act comedy-drama. From emerging company Hi Friends Productions, Deadname queers Mary Shelley's feminist horror as Victor and his Creature dissect trans-ness, clashing societal expectations and the parts of ourselves we run from.
