First Liverpool Sound City Announcement sees Huge Acts for 10th Anniversary
North West award-winning Liverpool Sound City Festival announces it's four-day 10th anniversary with a whole host of legendary acts.

The 10th incarnation of the ever-growing Liverpool Sound City not only sees the festival move to the new site of Clarence Dock, but for the first time in a decade it's to be held over four fantastic days In addition, the award winning event has just announced some huge names to perform for their 10th birthday celebration.
Thursday 25th May sees new wave 70's electro-pop icons The Human League headline the first of four nights with support from the influential A Certain Ratio as well as a reboot of Art of Noise's In Visible Silence as the synth-pop innovators Dudley, Jeczalik and Lanagan perform the album in full for their first live performance in 17 years.
Friday's performance is an exciting European exclusive as John Cale of The Velvet Underground performs the legendary Andy Warhol-collaborated album, The Velvet Underground and Nico. The banana-branded album is celebrating it's 50th anniversary and this is a unique and once in a life time opportunity for fans of the cult band. Having been a member of band which carries a phenomenal legacy, John Cale will also be the keynote speaker for the following day's conference, expect plenty of historical anecdotes and stories of his 50 year musical career.
Metronomy will be at the top Saturday’s bill, bringing their nu-disco vibes to the huge party. Also featured on Saturday’s impressive line-up are Alison Mosshart fronted lo-fi band The Kills, the unstoppable punk force that is two-piece Slaves, the ever-shocking pop pioneer Peaches, Libertines front man Carl Barat & The Jackals and many more.
Finalising the line-up will be naive-singers The Kooks. Having momentously closed the festival in 2014 - Liverpool Sound City bring the indie rockers back three years later to close what promises to be another incredible year. In support are post-punk trio White Lies, American indie-innovators Local Natives, dance-punk agitators !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Glastonbury competition winners She Drew The Gun, anarchist, chaotic-rockers Cabbage, The Sherlocks, and a whole host of other acts to e announced.
