Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic have been confirmed to headline Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2017.

The chart-topping four-piece are no strangers to the festival, having played an unsigned stage on their first visit, and then, most recently in 2012, where they performed to a packed out main stage. This year however, they will play the smaller capacity Hothouse Stage tent which, organisers warn, will fill up quickly.

The organisers of the Inverness weekender have also confirmed the line up for the electronic stage, Mothers Ruin. It will feature a variety of up and coming talent, including headliners State of Grace, who will appear on the Friday night, and Edinburgh based Grant Clark on the Saturday, as well as Hypnotic Groove, who have released music from Skiddle's own Barium Network.

Elsewhere on the bill are Glaswegian indie veterans Franz Ferdinand and disco stars Sister Sledge. Also on the stellar bill are KT Tunstall, The Pretenders, First Aid Kit, Birdy and Feeder, with appearances from hotly tipped artists like Louis Berry and Honeyblood.

Set in the Inverness countryside on the Belladrum Estate, close to the village of Beauly, the festival will cover a selection of genres, with heaps of family friendly activities on site, including street theatre, cinema and children's entertainment.

Belladrum tickets are available below.
