Denefield School Drama Unit

The Tilehurst + Purley Cluster was established early in 2006 to enable partnership schools to work collaboratively towards the Government's Extended Schools Initiative. This initiative aims to encourage access for all to a wide range of services outside schools hours that is owned and driven by schools and the families they serve. The schools will aim to become the central hub of their community by providing an appropriate range of out of school hours' educational, recreational and support activities for their pupils, parents and the wider community. The Partnership is managed by a Cluster Management Team (comprising the heads of all 7 partners and an Extended Schools Manager who oversees the day-to-day running of the initiative). The purpose of the Partnership is to ensure that the young people, families and communities that it serves have access to a wide range of well organised, safe and stimulating activities and opportunities beyond the school day.
