Room2Move presents: Bitzer Maloney

Bringing the heat to the Eagle Inn on bank Holiday Friday is Bakk Heia label head Bitzer Maloney. 

Known for his regular label club nights at the infamous Manchester institution, The White Hotel, and sharing a veritable cavalcade of bleeps and boops with the world via his well-loved Manc underground label Bakk Heia, Bitzer has an impeccable ear for tunes and knows how to throw a good party.

Bitzer’s eclectic, bouncy, otherworldly sets span genres and decades, he incorporates sounds and styles from Detroit, Manchester, Berlin and everywhere in between, bringing disparate tracks together into a tripped-out musical journey designed to get dancefloors moving. A master at moulding the mood on the dance floor, you could find yourself dancing to outsider, leftfield krautrock one second and some straight up dancefloor-focused tackle the next. 

Taking the same approach with his Bakk Heia releases, artists’ music on the label favour a certain minimal, twisted, trippy; yet bright, optimistic, and majestic take on dance music - whether it’s production by label co-founders Jorg Kuning or Schuttle.

Bitzer Mal’s refined musical abilities have seen him share the decks with a slew of local and international talent including High Hoops, Sofie K, Detroit Swindle, Aiden Francis & Kerrie Chandler.

Expect the unexpected on the 24th as we go on a sonic journey though space with The Eagle Inn as our trusty vessel. 

Helping steer this spaceship (unsure how long we can keep this analogy going) on the night will be Room2Move residents Tom2Trax & Liam Oliver.
