Well for our first YDNY Party of 2024 - Its only our 7th Birthday Bash!!!
Our first special guests for this one are none other than Triple Dee duo David Dunne and Andy Daniels.
David is a Manchester legend and his history with music stretches way back. David has been a constant figure in the ever-evolving dance music scene and culture since 1988. He has been described and applauded as “the DJ’s DJ”. His club appearances as a DJ read like a “Who’s Who” of more than two and a half decades of Clubbing; Ministry of Sound, Cocoon, Cream, Subterranea, Gatecrasher, The End, Turnmills, Hanover Grand, Retro, Love 2 B, the Arches, Renaissance, Miss Moneypenny’s, The Honey Club, Fantazia, plus festival appearances at Creamfields, Global Gathering, Hi-Fi, Wickerman, V Festival and B-Live.
He also played at his beloved Hacienda over 30 times and was a resident at the club’s sister venue “Dry” for five years. As well as the The Hacienda he has played at nearly every Manchester nightspot including Paradise Factory, The Boardwalk, Manto, Essential, Venus, Sankey’s and Home.
In 2003 he joined the hugely successful Hed Kandi team and played all over the world and more recently you can catch David playing at Gorilla, Qwerk & Boxed.
David is also famed for his radio work and his latest being the Triple Dee Radio Show. He began this in 2010 & is now syndicated to 55 stations across the world.
Andy Daniels has been playing clubland for almost 3 decades; his name has become household to many Manchester clubbers, and has seen him play his well-developed house & disco sets at the best clubs at home and abroad. Andy landed a residency at the Canal Café Bar in the early 90’s, the venue became a popular feeder bar for clubbers going to the Hacienda and Manchester Boardwalk. On the strength of the Canal Bar’s success, Andy was soon playing regularly at many of the north’s top house venues, including Dave Haslam’s “Freedom” night at Manchester Boardwalk, & “Get Lifted” at Angels in Burnley, he was also one of the original resident DJs at 2kinky, one of Manchester’s longest running house nights, which was held at various clubs including Sankeys, Generation X, Holy City Zoo & Equinox before moving to The View in Frodsham, his residency for 2kinky spanned over a decade.
Since joining Hed Kandi in 2005 Andrew has rocked dance floors all over the world, Andrew has also played at most of the UK’s biggest clubs as well as festival appearances at Creamfields, Global Gathering, & Planet Love. The big man has even played sets at the exclusive Carbon Black car rallies and after parties for Cirque Du Soleil as well as sets for the magical Big Fish Little Fish family raves.
Andy has also been hard at work in the studio with production partner DJ David Dunne under their Triple Dee moniker, and have remixed tracks for artists including Simply Red, Duke, Cevin Fisher & Robin S. Andy also plays regularly on the Triple Dee radio show with David Dunne, the show has been running for 10 years and can be heard on over 60 radio stations worldwide including Gaydio & Salford City FM in Manchester.
In addition, to assist on deck duties will be your usual suspect residents Rob & Neil.
