Insomnia Cookies, the cult late-night bakery making waves across the UK, sparks up excitement with its most blazing offer yet – the “Munchie Exchange”.

The event will be hosted on the 20th April (4/20) across the green, green grasses of Platt Fields, in support of its local laid-back community. A dedicated pop-up in the park, will be offering visitors the chance to upgrade their snacks with its one-of-a-kind deal.Founded in the US by Seth Berkowitz and his student mates, whose late-night cravings led them to baking a batch of warm cookies, then turned into them cooking up a big dream. 

Twenty years and 250 stores later, the delivery cookies have left the university dorm room and landed in Manchester with three twilight stores, serving up sweet treats for anyone studying late.

Celebrators of 420 can bring unopened, non-perishable snacks to Platt Field or any of its three Insomnia Cookies stores, and exchange them for a freshly baked, warm and delicious cookie. 

This munchie trade-up isn’t only a treat for your taste buds, as every snack collected will be donated to local Manchester foodbanks in addition to their own trays of fresh cookies.

Beyond the exchange, a special secret £4.20 offer will be available for one day only to all customers, a deal sure to make their friends green with envy as the normal price is £11.00 (a toke(n) £6.80 saving!) To redeem, simply say “I’ve got the munchies”.

What’s more, all staff have been trained to make their stores ‘slow speaking zones’, ensuring a laid-back and mellow vibe for the bleary-eyed.
