Dance Now Talk Later - Niamos Fundraiser

Good Friday is gonna be WELL GOOD.

Dance Now Talk Later comes to Hulme's Niamos @niamos_mcr - one of the most iconic community spaces in Manchester for a special bank holiday party. We'll be celebrating the spirit of the Niamos while raising funds to preserve this beautiful historical building.

To pull this together The Social Service have teamed up with the brilliant Sophie Bee. Expect all the magic, fun and positive energy that you know will come from this  partnership. Starting with the all important line up...

Our headliner Shy One lives and breathes the eclecticism and diversity of her DJ sets and productions. Having started off DJing on pirate radio as a teenager to now holding down a weekly NTS residency, Shy One has been influenced by the full spectrum of sounds from her hometown of London. Last year she set The Social Service dancefloor alight with Ruby Savage when they played B2B. With a new album out we can't wait to hear how she plays it for this crowd and space.

Private Joy aka Pops Roberts is one of Manchester's most distinct and charismatic soul voices. Drawing from street-soul, electronic, afrobeat, RnB and broken-beat as well as her semi-classical upbringing: the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist references every era of soul alongside her electronic persuasions in her dj sets and productions.

Hewan Clarke - you may know of Hewan's links to the Hacienda but his significance goes way beyond that to his central role on the underground music scene as dj at The Gallery, Berlin and the legendary Reno club.

We are delighted to have Hewan opening for us at the Niamos with a special early doors set for dancers and dance lovers. Come down early to enjoy the space, pick up some moves or try out your own.

Ladybeige (The Social Service) has been putting on not for profit parties in Manchester for 14 years. Hosting and playing records at The Niamos is a dream come true. She'll be playing music for dancers in between immersing herself in the party as all good promoters should do!
