About

On 2 May, Jeremy Olander returns to Manchester for a special 4pm-10pm extended session in the Joshua Brooks basement.

One of progressive house's most credible figures, Olander's relationship with UK audiences spans more than a decade. His first major UK appearance came alongside Eric Prydz at Brixton Academy, a connection that would define much of his early career. Since then, he has become a fabric Room 1 regular, a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix contributor, and an artist Mixmag has described as "one of the true preservers of melodic house and techno."

In 2011, Olander became the first artist signed to a multi-release deal on Prydz's Pryda Friends label, releasing six EPs includingLet Me Feel, which reached #10 on Beatport's overall Top 100. In 2014, he was the first artist other than Prydz to release on Pryda Recordings proper, with the Jackie EP holding #1 overall on Beatport for ten days, displacing Aphex Twin. That same period saw him support Prydz at EPIC 3.0 at Madison Square Garden and deliver the first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of 2015, later shortlisted among the year's best.

Beyond Pryda, Olander's catalogue spans Drumcode, Bedrock, Last Night On Earth, Anjunadeep, Suara, and Diynamic, placing him firmly within the upper tier of underground electronic music. His sound balances cinematic melody with dark undercurrents, while his techno alias Dhillonexplores heavier territory, including Beatport #1 releases on Drumcode and Vivrant.

Founded in 2015, Vivrant has become Olander's creative home, now reaching its 50th release, with early catalogue entries dominating Beatport's Progressive House chart and long-running #1 placements. Vivrant showcases and extended sets have sold out internationally, including marathon sessions that underline his reputation as a long-form selector rather than a peak-time DJ.

The Joshua Brooks basement offers the right environment for this kind of session: intimate, bricked arches, close-quarters energy, and the venue's Void Acoustics sound system dialled in for depth, detail, and progression.
