A musical comedy show about how being an addict makes you an absolute legend
For fans of Bo Burnham, Flight of the Conchords and Stephen Lynch, Alex Camp returns for his second full Fringe show "Dopamine Rat", a searingly honest yet bonkers look at addictions, both big and small. Stampede through booze, sex, mental health and a whole lot more while strapped to the vessel of Alex's trademark original comedy songs.
The Leicester Comedy Festival award nominee is a southerner based in Manchester, former Tokyo ex-pat, failed musician, love rat, six-way addict and overall cool, interesting guy. The argument is, having six distinct, long-lasting and varied addictions has shaped his life and made him a better person. Why do we get addicted? Who do we hurt? How do we find community? What are the toilets like? Taylor Swift, hand dryers, sweets on top of the fridge, code-switching, and much much more.
