On the occasion of the centenary of the death of the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, 3 musicians will perform a fascinating program that exalts Puccini and the Italian musical Verismo style which is so associated with the great composer. The captivating pieces of the program include the most beautiful opera arias by Puccini and Tosti, the two most important Italian verismo musicians. These chamber and opera arias will be juxtaposed and interspersed with fantastically lyrical pieces by Chopin, performed on the piano by Antonio Morabito.
A concert not to be missed for the high standards of the music and above all for the quality of the artists; in fact, Giuseppe has just graduated from the Accademia Alla Scala in Milan, the most important opera singing school in the world. Antonio is an international concert pianist based in London who recently graduated from the Royal College of Music. Anna Ovsyanikova is the founder of Hidden Gems concert series and a violinist regularly performing at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. These performers regularly give concerts throughout Europe. The concert will also have an educational aspect: the artists will provide detailed explanations of the musical context and the meaning of the lyrics of each song. This will guide the audience in appreciating every nuance of meaning, individualism and beauty in these songs. Don't miss this rare opportunity to listen to a special event directly from the Italian tradition right here in the heart of London.
