Who exactly is the man behind this eclectic magic? Who is the man who sells out the legendary venues like The Jazz Café in London and both Yoshiʼs in Oakland and San Francisco for several consecutive nights? Well Dweleʼs story is familiar. A young yet sophisticated man, named Andwele Gardner who hails from the legendary music mecca of Detroit, lives a life in song. From soul stirring melodies composed on piano keys, he writes poignant music, performs with natural grace and captivates with his clear, silky tone. He is a songwriter, producer, multi instrument musician and vocalist carrying on a Motown-inspired tradition instilled in another era. Yet Dwele has cultivated his own spirited road with five critically acclaimed albums “Subject”, “Some Kinda”, “Sketches Of A Man” ,”W.ants W.orld W.omen” and “Greater Than One” behind him. Dwele was brought up in a highly musical family that was tragically pared down to his mother and younger brother, once his father was gunned down outside their home. Dwele was only 10. “The loss of my Father really inspired my creative side, ” he recalls. “By getting into music, it provided me with a way to cope with his death.” Dweleʼs music impresses with maturity beyond his years. He captures the rawness of inner city blues with hip-hop nuances that speak to his generation and beyond. His ear was shaped by Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and Miles Davis, which his family played regularly in their home. What is most compelling about Dwele’s work is itʼs timeless nature and the fact that he remains loyal to his foundation.  As a Multi Grammy Award Nominee and a shared win with legendary rap icon Kanye West, he has blazed a trail for this generationʼs newfound Soul/ R&B era.

R&B singer/composer Myron was born in Cleveland; the son of a preacher, he grew up singing in his father’s church, also learning to play keyboards and drums. Upon relocating to Philadelphia, Myron played in a jazz band; in 1996, his song “Sistas” appeared on the soundtrack to the Whoopi Goldberg flop Eddie, leading to a contract with the Island Black Music label. In addition to the 1997 singles “We Can Get Down” and “So Fly,” he also co-wrote a handful of songs for labelmates Dru Hill before issuing his debut LP Destiny in 1998. ~ (Jason Ankeny, Rovi).  Myron went on to release 2003 album Free, 2011’s Myron & The Works feat Meschel Ndegeocello & Robert GLASPER, 2021 alternative collaboration, with Knowbody & X.  Myron’s latest release is the Overture (June 2025).  Of his latest offering Myron says “This album feels like a return to my roots as a soul singer and jazz musician. Like my past projects, love is a major theme, but this time I’ve leaned even more into messages of positivity and togetherness”.
