Swan Lake comes to the London Coliseum in a new production from the internationally acclaimed State Ballet of Georgia. Following their sold-out London season in 2024, the company premieres this staging at the Tbilisi Opera House before bringing it to London for 12 performances this July.
Set to Tchaikovsky’s score, the ballet tells the story of Prince Siegfried, the Swan Queen Odette and the evil sorcerer Rothbart. Under the artistic direction of Nina Ananiashvili, former prima ballerina with the Bolshoi, the production features the State Ballet of Georgia’s dancing, sets and costumes in a traditional staging of this classic work.
The dancers have been described by The New York Times as “versatile and accomplished”, bringing the ballet’s drama and emotion to the stage with power and precision.
