Swan Lake comes to the London Coliseum in a new production from the internationally acclaimed State Ballet of Georgia. Following a sold-out London season in 2024, the production premieres at the Tbilisi Opera House before arriving in London for 12 performances this July.
From the first bars of Tchaikovsky’s score, the ballet tells the story of Prince Siegfried, the Swan Queen Odette and the evil sorcerer Rothbart. Under the artistic direction of Nina Ananiashvili, former prima ballerina with the Bolshoi, the company presents the work with dancing, sumptuous sets and glorious costumes. The New York Times has described the dancers as “versatile and accomplished”.
Steeped in tradition, this staging brings ballet’s best-known love story to the stage with power, precision and emotional depth.
Duration: 2hrs and 10 mins including one interval. London run: 12 performances this July.
