Swan Lake comes to the London Coliseum in a new production from the internationally acclaimed State Ballet of Georgia. The ballet follows Prince Siegfried, the Swan Queen Odette and the evil sorcerer Rothbart in a staging of one of ballet’s best-known love stories, set to Tchaikovsky’s score.
Following a sold-out London season in 2024, the production premieres at the Tbilisi Opera House before arriving in London for 12 performances this July. The State Ballet of Georgia are described as renowned for their dancing, sets and costumes, and the company performs under the artistic direction of Nina Ananiashvili, former prima ballerina with the Bolshoi.
The production is presented with the intention of bringing this classic ballet to the stage with power, precision and emotional depth.
