About

Hailing from Kent, Rory Sturgeon is a 21 year old songwriter and producer who has been releasing music for two years. He writes deep, thoughtful songs drawn from personal experiences. He has received support from BBC Introducing on a number of his releases, and has appeared as the support act for label signed artists such as Jo Hill. Rory has played venues both in the South East and South West of England where he met fellow musician Alex Helsby at Exeter University.

Alex Helsby is a 20 year old from a small town in the North of London, and has also been writing for 2 years. His debut release was instantly well received, after gaining support from BBC Introducing on his heartfelt song 'Are What You Said You Aren't'. He has played his soulful songs across venues in Exeter. His music stems from a range of influences, with strong Bon Iver and Daniel Caesar sounds coming through in his first two releases on streaming platforms.

Support will be given from Felix Ross who is a fellow up-and-coming singer-songwriter making waves in the indie/pop scene. With recent performances supporting notable artists such as Jake Bugg, Oscar Lang, he is an incredible talent and will be the perfect addition to complete the lineup.

This will be their first joint headline gig, and not one to miss! For an evening of intimate, thoughtful songs, come down to the wonderful venue that is the Amersham Arms in New Cross, London.
