Static Gallery is situated in the heart of Liverpool, just near China Town and the 'Bombed Out' Church, located on the narrow Roscoe Lane in between the northern end of the Rope Walks area and lower end of the Georgian/University area.

The space opened in September 1998 as an art gallery and experimental architect's studio and workshop.

The building now houses fifteen art and design studios, a gallery/multi-use space and the Static Bar.
