The Shipbuilders - The Shipbuilders exist as a melting pot where the surreal meets the sublime. Since releasing their first EP, 'Something in the Water' in 2016, the band have continuously expanded their sound and scope of influences to create a world where sparkling pop wonders are nestled between Spanish Civil War laments, gypsy arias, and chaotic, shambolic odes to drinking, death and everything in between.
All of this is done with added lashings of melody and the writings of Garcia Lorca and James Joyce, dictating that the wonder of the beauty of the world - and beyond - is never overlooked.
Dan The Man - Dan’s been making music with the The Wombats for 20 years. Along the way he has written and produced 3 cinematic folk solo albums, his self-titled debut, Circadian Circus and Brightly Coloured Creatures. 2020 also saw him release an EP & debut album with Sunship Balloon, a new project with Tord Øverland Knudsen. Dan started playing the piano, drums & acoustic guitar at a young age & began making songs on a Tascam 4-track in his bedroom at the age of 14. This is where his love for recording & writing music began and it continues to this day.
Lula Nova - Based in Liverpool, Luciana Mercer and Martin Smith have been writing and performing music together for over 10 years. Their various different groups and projects include classic jazz, latin, be-bop, contemporary dance, club night performances and more. Together they draw from all of these influences to concoct an intriguing and mesmerising blend of original composition and song. Evocative and beguiling, bossa nova-beat box sounds entice you into a world of intricately winding, melodic voices and hypnotic patterns. Each piece takes you on an intimate, colourful and harmonically adventurous journey, into a world that toys with your expectations.
