About

This is Dead Funny Comedy Night. Since we are getting close to the Edinburgh Fringe festival we are hosting some preview shows.

Phil Ellis: Come On and Take The Rest of Me
The 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show Nominee and winner of the Malcom Hardee Award for Comic Originality returns with a brand new show! After the huge success of his 2023 Phil Ellis’s Excellent Comedy Show with numerous award wins, a massive national tour and two heart scares, he takes things back to basics with an hour of pure and unapologetic stand-up. As seen and heard on BBC Radio 4, BBC2, Comedy Central and Sky. 'Touched by comedy genius' (Scotsman). 'The density of gags is impressive' (Chortle.co.uk).

Alastair Clark: And Then He Turned the Fun on Himself
Hypothesis: comedy is therapy. Mentally unwell man Alastair Clark takes this premise to its logical conclusion. A brand-new hour of jokes from a 'fresh, entertaining, original and funny' stand-up comic (TheQR.co.uk). 'An engaging hour' (Chortle.co.uk). 'Genuine talent' (Skinny). 'Heartwarming' (BroadwayBaby.com). 'Leftish whimsy' (Fringepig.co.uk).

Some admin:

Outpost is open from 4pm for all your beer and pizza needs. Doors to the venue will open at 6.30pm. The show starts at 7pm. That way we can guarantee we are all done by 9.45pm so you're ready for Monday morning.

We want the night to have a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. If you are someone who is traditionally intimidated by a live comedy setting please consider coming along.

There are multiple ticket options available, all will get you into the same the show with unreserved seating. The options are there so you can choose how much you want to support the night within your means. We don't want cost to be a barrier to access the night. If you can afford to and want to subsidise the cheaper ticket option we massively appreciate that. On the door we will operate a 'name your price' policy. You can choose how much to pay but we will suggest £10.

The venue is licensed 18+. If you are younger than 18 you can't come yet.
