For the younger generation and masks were not given on arrival had to ask and didn't feel like a mascaraed ball and was told to dress to impress and there was not the fact

Review of Jaloux NYE  - Masquerade Ball

The event was mis-marketed. Only the Pretty waitresses and select few were wearing a mask- we did not receive any masks on the door (as claimed in the add).  Hence entire 'masquerade ball' lost its meaning  there. 
Music was listed as house/techno, and was later in the night, however for a while was more R&B. (Didn't impact the night much, but did make it a little disappointing as this was not mentioned in the music category) 
Also, as we got in, first thing we asked for if there's a cloakroom,  to which we were told there isn't one, but then we noticed waitresses taking peoples coats and were informed that we could in fact give them our coats.. Grateful of course that we got to get a rid of the extra weight, but just seemed unnecessarily unstructured. 
Event tickets now seem a bit overpriced considering there was absolutely no other benefit than getting in through the door.

Advertised a liver singer and when asked one of the hostesses she didn't even know what we were talking about. False advertisement to say the least. They were charging £10 on the door and tickets was £22.50 each.
