Riley's life changed the day two black wings sprouted from their back. Mocked and judged, Riley must learn to cope with their new, inexplicable appendages, asking themself: "Is it better to deny your true self for the sake of others?"
Written by Ashley Behrend and directed by Robin King, this original play reimagines the experience of growing up queer through Riley's black wings. Told in an immersive, storytelling experience, The Northside Raven invites you to hear Riley's recounts of broken relationships, first loves, a longing for acceptance, and the rigorous journey of transforming self-loathing into unapologetic self-love.
