ON THE VERGE follows two women's separate journeys in grief over the course of the same evening. Isla has just returned from a doomed family New Year's Eve party, while Estie has just come home from her sister's funeral.

With one soaking wet and the other in the throes of grief, both women recount their lives and the events of the day to reluctant and despondent listeners. ON THE VERGE deals with themes of death, grief, young womanhood and the struggles of becoming.
