Long Island Sound X Electric

About

Dublin-born duo Long Island Sound (Rob Roche and Tim Nolan) are known for their euphoric yet introspective take on electronic music. Balancing emotion and energy, the pair craft dynamic, dreamlike productions via their own imprint, Signs of Space. In 2022 they released their seven-track debut Lost Connection, described by Resident Advisor as “glorious, heart-tugging sunset techno.” Following a sold-out launch party at Dublin’s Tengu, the duo embarked on a summer festival run that culminated in a standout set at Ireland’s All Together Now. 2023 began with Lost Connection Remixes, a heavyweight package featuring reinterpretations from Mor Elian, Benjamin Damage, James Shinra and Cromby. That summer they followed with the highly anticipated Don’t Let Me / Air EP - two festival-ready house cuts supported by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Tim Sweeney on Beats in Space and Jenny Greene on RTÉ 2FM. Later that year, the pair delivered a remix for Depeche Mode, reworking “My Favourite Stranger” from the album Memento Mori. The duo kicked off 2024 with a remix for UK house/techno pair Kassian, transforming “The Machine” into a melancholic, big-room trance cut. March saw the release of their Fracture EP on Istanbul label Oath, a six-track exploration of darker emotional terrain featuring remixes from Otik and Spray, and earning support from Bonobo, I.Jordan and more. They closed the year with the release of their second album Hydra, followed by a 2025 live show tour including a stop at London’s iconic fabric. Since then, Long Island Sound have continued their momentum with a steady run of singles - including Tide, Gone, CV / Gate, Stung and the Searching (Live Mix) - further refining their expansive blend of emotive house, trance-leaning melodies and club-ready energy. Their releases have remained a staple on BBC Radio 1, with CV / Gate selected as Jaguar’s Dancefloor Moment. Alongside headline shows across Europe and Signs of Space label takeovers at major UK festivals, the duo have maintained a strong connection to their native Ireland, with a SOS Club Tour set to roll out this May featuring dates across the country.
