Misneach na mBanríonaí - Léamh -Le Caitríona Lane

Dráma aon-ghnímh atá á léamh anseo anseo faoin gcruinniú stairiúla sa bhliain 1593 idir Gráinne Mhaol, Banríon na Mara agus Éilis 1, Banríon Shasana.
Nuair a ghabhann Richard Bingham mac Ghráinne chun é a chur chun báis sa Túr Londain, beartaíonn Gráinne imeacht ar thuras trasna na dtonnta chuig Londain chun cuairt phearsanta a thabhairt ar a namhaid Éilis, chun impí uirthi a mac a scaoileadh saor.
Ach, an rud is annamh is iontach agus nuair a bhuaileann an bheirt bhan lena chéile is léir go n-aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile agus is léir feasta do Ghráinne gur fearr cara sa chúirt ná a mhalairt.
Fo-theidil iomlána ann.
Fad Reatha: 60 nóim.

Misneach na mBanríonaí - Reading/Work-in-progress - By Caitríona Lane
A one-act play depicting the historic meeting in 1593 between Grace O'Malley, the Pirate Queen of Connacht, and Queen Elizabeth I of England.
When Richard Bingham captures Grace's son and has him imprisoned in the Tower of London to face execution, Grace resolves to undertake a perilous voyage across the sea to London to seek a personal audience with her enemy, Elizabeth, and plead for her son's release.
Yet, as the saying goes, truth can be stranger than fiction. When the two queens finally meet, it becomes clear that one remarkable woman recognises another. Grace soon realises that it is better to have a friend at court than otherwise.
