Our aim is to establish the Bearpit as a destination in Bristol through trading & community activities, events & markets.
In 2011 a pedestrian area, known as the Bearpit was voted the single worse area in all of Bristol. For a long time it's been neglected and unloved creating a spike in fear, crime and violence. Everyone had given up for the area.
A new approach was attempted utilising community action to focus on creating a safe and welcoming destination.
Fast forward 5 years - We are Bearpit Bristol CIC. A social enterprise set up to deliver these ambitions through food, markets and events; in collaboration with organisations throughout the city to inspire the community.
Together with our experienced team we have already established a unique trading environment through Bearritos, Bearpit Social and Bear Fruit.
We are set for growth in 2017 with plans to increase the types of activity we do, create real social impact for the area and inspire the community.
