Acclaimed songwriters in their own right, McNiff and Moreno bring a passion and freshness to the work of Leonard Cohen. Joined by the Brothers of Mercy - Ned Cartwright on the piano, Matt Armstrong on the double bass and Richard Moore on the violin - they have put together an unforgettable show drawn from all stages of the master songwriter's career.
Jason McNiff is a troubadour who has made eight albums which people call Folk, or Americana, or Alt Country. He is often touted as one of the UKs most overlooked musical treasures, as a songwriter and finger picker. His latest album 'Dust of Yesterday' came out in 2021 and was album of the week in The Times.
'An Immense talent' Janice Long, BBC Radio 2
Gabriel Moreno is Gibraltarian singer-songwriter, currently based in London. An irresistibly engaging performer, he combines a latin exuberance and passion with a rare lyrical calibre. He has thrilled audiences across South America, the USA and Europe with his sonorous baritone and poetical lyrics often seeing him compared to such luminary wordsmiths as Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and Bill Callahan.
"Moreno’s warm voice, embroidered by Ned Cartwright’s deft piano accompaniment, engrosses and soothes. Meditative one moment and despairing the next, these unhurried songs offer spiritual succour and solidarity, a balm for our trying times" - Morning Star
