DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE COURSE

Are you tired of feeling constantly on the go? Do you feel like you are always on call?

These experiences are common in our fast-paced modern lives.

Why not take some time to unplug at our relaxing silent day retreat.

The retreat day will take place in our beautiful peaceful meditation centre. You will have access to the large lounge area upstairs, where you can chill with a book in between sessions.

Three sessions of teachings and guided meditations to help you go deep into the peace within your own heart by improving our concentration. The centre is a beautiful peaceful place and ideal for taking a break from daily life and cultivating some inner peace.

DESCRIPTION

Most people think of retreat as getting away from external things, taking a break from busy activities; but it’s easy to forget about retreating from our own distractions, which is the most important. We can cut ourselves off from all contact with work, but if we keep worrying about the things we have left undone then work will still interfere with our retreat. Retreat is mainly a state of mind.Silence is very useful: it helps us turn inwards and pay more attention to our mental chatter so that we can begin to let it go and experience real silence within our mind.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided and are included in the course price. The day will include guided meditations, teachings, discussion, and time for Q&A

Discover how you can:

  • Learn to meditate and improve your concentration
  • Cultivate your inner peace
  • How to replace unhelpful mental habits with positive ones through meditation

Please notethat in order to enable people space to be still and quiet during the retreat, limited in-person places are available. As a result, advance booking is essentialfor everyone (including Centre members and benefactors) to prevent disappointment.

Everyone welcome.
