Hacienda’s Graeme Park to reveal all in conversation ahead of Highest Point Fest

Legendary Hacienda DJ, Graeme Park, is to reveal all in conversation with BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins in Lancaster next week

The first in a string of warm-up events for 2023, BBC 6 Music presenter Chris Hawkins will be chatting with Hacienda legend Graeme Park in Lancaster on Thursday the 16th of March. 

Over in Lancaster’s creative industries hub, The Storey, known for hosting talks, workshops, and more, BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins will be sitting down with iconic DJ Graeme Park, who helped create the UK’s rave and clubbing scene, most notably as a regular disc jockey at Manchester’s legendary Hacienda. 

Nowadays, Park is still on the decks and keeping the party alive by working with Hacienda Classical to revitalise club classics with an orchestra, which they’ll be bringing to the Highest Point Festival in May 2023 with their headline slot.

During the conversation, Park will reveal details about what got him into the music industry, the ups and downs he’s experienced over his 30+ years as a DJ, and tell us a bit about what to expect from Hacienda Classical at Highest Point 2023.
