There will be plenty of signs to the festival from all directions.
From the South (M6): All ticket holders: M6 Exit Junction 39 Turn L onto A6 at end of sliproad Turn right at T Junction to follow A6 North Keep on A6 through village of Shap . Then, depending on your ticket type: Standard campsite ticket holders: Look out for the A6 passing underneath the Motorway Approx 1 mile after this turn left into the Lowther Estate Follow driveway to main car park
Campervans, Emperors Fields and The Deer Lodge ticket holders: For entrance to Emperors Fields, Campervans and The Deer Lodge please follow signs for All Camping.
From the North (M6): Standard campsite ticket holders: Continue on M6 to J39 and follow directions from South Campervans, Emperors Fields and The Deer Lodge ticket holders: For entrance to Emperors Fields, Campervans and The Deer Lodge please follow signs for All Camping.
The home of Kendal Calling is 25 minutes north of Kendal up the M6 and South down the A6 from Penrith.
Manchester – 1 hour 30 mins (48 mins with Virgin Trains from Preston)
Newcastle – 1 hour 30 mins
Leeds – 2 hours
Liverpool – 2 hours (48 mins with Virgin Trains from Preston)
Edinburgh – 2 hours 25 mins (1 hour 21 mins with Virgin Trains)
The nearest train station to the festival site is Penrith which is a ten minute taxi journey from the site. A shuttle bus service will run from the station to the festival site. Virgin Trains operate a lightning fast service from Scotland, Birmingham, and London direct with hourly services and Manchester & North West when changing at Preston or Crewe.

Kendal Calling is at Lowther Deer Park so just 15 minutes on the dedicated shuttle bus from Penrith Railway Station to the festival.

Thursday 10am – 6:30pm
Friday 7am – 7pm
The Festival to Penrith:
Monday 5:30am – 12noon

Disabled Access Information
Kendal Calling is a 3 to 4 day festival set in the beautiful lake district with over 10 stages featuring regional, national and international talent. The festival works closely with Attitude is Everything to provide an event site which is accessible, and to that end the organisers are pleased to announce that they received the Silver Award in accessibility on site and are the first festival to be awarded the access starts online status.
Please note: The accessibility facilities are only available to festival goers with permanent disabilities, so broken legs, recent injuries, recent operations, elderly and pregnant women do not qualify.
