Fortunately a friend knew the way to the club otherwise it would have been a nightmare to find. When we arrived was dissapointed to find out Zomby and Efdemin weren't on the bill, I was a bit dissapointed as seeing Zomby live was one of the reasons I bought the ticket. I think the promoters could have chosen a better venue as the upstairs looked like a shitty students union bar from the 80's and the downstairs was a big live venue similar to Manchester Academy, not as many people there as I thought there would be considering the advertised line up, perhaps it wasn't promoted to its fullest. The huge downstairs room (where kode9 was playing) was only a third full, upstairs (Move D, Tobias) was a bit fuller as it was smaller. Kode9 played a good set which included a lot of techno which was a suprise as i was expecting dubstep sounds. Tobias was the highlight for me, rocking the upstairs with a laptop and live 909 drum machine set which included a few of his own productions. Overall interesting night which had the potential to be amazing with a change of venue, not dropping Zomby and Efdemin and better promotion.

Zomby - where were u in 2009??!!
The sound guys downstairs must have been trolleyed...it took me and my mate 25 mins while HATE were on, to convince them backstage that they hadn't even turned on the main front speakers!!! Badly let down by the night ;-(

Absolutely rubbish night, Zomby not there, the'cavernous' club was absolutely terrible with no atmosphere and the price was extortionate. I can go to ape at the apollo for almost the same price. Rip off merchants.

After looking forward to this event as the closing party of Futuresonic, I was extremely disappointed. The venue was a dive, the drinks were crap, this wouldn't have been so bad if the act that I really wanted see had turned up. I have really enjoyed the other futuresonic events and was in two minds whether to go to Urbis that night or the club, I made the wrong choice. It was a mis-sold deal, especially when people were offered cheaper tickets on the door without a booking fee. We weren't given an apology, or any reduced costs, there was merely a line up schedule with Zomby crossed off. Not very happy.

The club was a nightmare to find, then when we did manage to find it we were told that Zomby had canceled. He was the only person I wanted to see, so the evening was a huge disappointment. Not good.
