cde84 Offline Points:64 Posts: 3 | 02 - DS June 2010 Overall rating: Very dissapointed with the turnout, I think the third time round, DS have over-cooked it and got a bit arrogant with the 02 on the same night as loads of other nights in Manchester. The venue wasn't as intimate and relaxed as Stinkys, and after paying £17 to get in, wasn't too impressed with being in the small room. Aside from that, it was friendly and the music was good, although a little hard all night. Unless a big line-ups announced, I won't be going back to DS at the 02 after over a year of attending their nights. I understand they'e trying to grow and become more profitable and stable, but the 02 is just too big a venue without serious backup. | ||||||||||||||

Looking forward to the june edition, but hope punters aren't deterred by A&B in Machester, should be another storming event. Perhaps they could let people go upstairs to smoke this time if there are no VIP's as the bin-area gets a bit crowded and isn't too good for chatting. | ||||||||||||||

The venue the atmosphere the set up the sound system the MUSIC it was amazing. Above and beyond pulled it out of the bag again and super8 + tab were equally as good. Thought it was abit too packed at first but as expected, the crowd started to dissapear after Faithless had performed. Having seen them at the Warehouse Project in December I was expecting a short set, but I thought that they performed far better this time!! The atmosphere was unreal and everyone was getting right into it!! Dahlback got everyone in the mood for a wild night and got everyone up on the floor ready for Maxxi Jazz himself. And, Funkagenda, what can I say, what a guy!!! Ended the night with a bang playing on until the early hours. All in all, an outstanding night!!! | ||||||||||||||

As for GE...the guy is amazing, everytime i see him he blows me away and for that I put him in #3 in the DJ poll. The live acts were quality too and give the night added special bonus!
10/10 on all fronts!
