Sick night

Easter Sunday

Although the vibe was excellent, I wasn't feeling the sardine factor. Not being able to lift your hands above your head when in the zone can be very frustrating.

Furthermore the erratic temperature conditions were at times confusing. During the initial dipping seminar in Room 2 I was borderline frozen, but 2 hours later when at the height of my euphoria in The Main Room I was gasping got air in the searing heat.

I found your bullish black doorman in need of a customer service lecture. His aggressive tone was unwelomed and caused me at least 1hours high time. I'd also like to add his taxing policy was rather excessive.

We were pretty worried early on when it started snowing that'd be cancelled but the DJs tweets were optimistic with Waze & Odyssey even offering lifts. The turn out was impressive seeming we were coming from headingley and it took us over an hour to get a taxi and then another 40 minutes walk when the taxi dropped us off in the wrong place..
The music was spot on, not too deep and perfect to keep everyone dancing, heating up inside the venue a lot more than the smoking area outside. As for getting taxis back we left about 5 to be sure and there were the usual queue of taxis waiting outside. The only fault, as with all canal mills events are the drinks prices but this is understandable as they have the same situation as Sankeys, lots of people buying drugs and not drinks. All in all an amazing night, definitely worth the effort getting there.

i was told of this gig via an sms message from my friend and so i took it upon myself to purchase a ticket
all of my friends were there, and it was really good to see them having a fun time. i know that they were having a good time because their eyes were super big and boy, their lips must have tasted nice if they were licking and biting into them so much!
a girl was sick on me though so i gave it a 1 out of 5 for cleanliness

My 1st time at Canal Mills. Loved it.

Great Great atmosphere, no ****heads. Everyone on the same level, lovin' it. Tunes were massive - Infinity Ink smashed it.

My new fave Leeds Venue

First time at this venue and really like it. When fully open, it isnt a massive venue but it hold people comfortably, your not squashed, plenty of dancing room, but too spacious to feel disconnected with the crowd. Only two bars that i was aware of but didnt have to queue really. didnt have to queue to get into the venue or the toilets and bouncers are nice enough- no power trips. The people in there were great, had to be careful we didnt spend the whole night out in the smoking area chatting to people. met loads of like minded people, no atmosphere what so ever, even on the dance floor. People were generally polite , even when off their faces. \you could have easily gone by yourself ands not felt alone. Music was fab, everyone going for it. Maya J.C, awesome, been waiting to hear this lady for along time- she was worth the wait!
