Taphouse Thursdays: Music Production Workshop with SL8R

7.30pm - 9.30pm 

Taphouse Thursdays & Steam Radio brings you the first instalment of their music production workshops hosted by DnB producer SL8R!

SL8R will take you through a 1hr 20 minute workshop for beginners and intermediates covering the different production techniques for producing Drum n Bass and Jungle on Ableton.  Followed by a Q&A and an open deck, giving attendees the opportunity to play their own original music. 

SL8R

Birmingham born, Manchester based Sl8r has built up a strong back-catalogue of releases over the past few years on labels such V Recordings, Hospital Records, Shogun Audio, 31 Recordings and The North Quarter to name a few. His diverse productions have now also received support from some of the biggest names in drum and bass such as Goldie, Bryan Gee, Fabio, Lenzman, Alix Perez and more.

This workshop will cover: 

  • How to chop a Jungle break
  • How to build a DnB drum beat
  • Building a track demo
  • Tips and trick 
  • Q&A
  • Open deck

All advance tickets are pay as you feel - £3/ £5/ £7

Followed by Taphouse Thursday: Soundboy Takeover
