About

Rushed are a three piece authentic tribute act performing the music of Canada’s finest progressive Rock trio – Rush. The three musicians originally formed to perform a one-off Rush gig for a special Birthday bash, but the band, who are all Rush super fans quickly realised that they just had to continue and now over five years later Rushed are performing all over the UK, delivering a monster three hour Rush show with authentic sound and an ever expanding list of gear. Whilst their set is rich and varied with an offering from all 4 decades of the vast Rush catalogue, they pride themselves on performing a large amount of early material replicating the raw energy that Rush always delivered consistently back in the 70’s. They consider themselves lucky to have Yorkshires very own Geddy Lee - Mick Jackson who can belt out those incredible high notes, with that unique Geddy style shrill without having to down tune and at the same time playing blistering complex base lines and keyboards. Drummer and percussionist Andy Tyrer painstakingly studies the work of the late Neil Peart and keeps the band together during the complex time changes and structures on every song. Andy loves technology and uses the latest gear to replicate iconic sounds that are so unmistakably Rush. Whilst Rob Wilton, guitarist has an unhealthy obsession with Alex Lifeson spending hours learning Alex’s unique style of playing and guitar tone. Join Rush on one of their gigs throughout the UK for a three hour epic evening celebrating the music of Rush, it’s a night not to be missed by any Rush fan.
