Kidwelly

This festival is called Gwen Gwen..which means Gwen(llian)’s smile, inspired by Kidwelly's history of the warrior Princess Gwenllian and Kidwelly castle. The Welsh princess gave up her life fighting for her country. She had a lasting influence on the survival of Welsh culture. We are celebrating our history by hosting a festival of Art, music, creativity and poetry. We have a full weekend of incredible talent including headliners Gentleman’s dub club, Kosheen, The Allergies and Regime. We also have over 30 other incredible live bands and performers from across Wales and further afield. In addition we will have a wellbeing area, circus skills, creative writing and craft workshops. The festival village will also include Artisan stalls with a variety of locally produced craft, food and drink. This is a family friendly event with weekend camping and day tickets available. Come and join in the celebrations in a stunning location on the Welsh coast. The first annual Gwen Gwen festival takes place in Kidwelly on the 13th and 14th of August 2022, tickets are available now online.
