Bramall Lane Sheffield United FC

Golden Years Road Shows are holding an exhibition for the local over 50's at Bramall Lane Stadium, home of Sheffield United in Sheffield on 3rd August 2012. The event will be for Sheffield and Rotherham. The Sponsor for this event is Specsavers, Crystal Peaks. Sheffield United have very kindly offered to provide a footballer on the day to sign autographs and also send some memorabilia to be auctioned for the charities on the day.

There will be lots of interesting and varied activities taking place on the day like Zumba classes, Tai Chi,a live food demonstrations throughout the day, Mini Charity Casino with proceeds going to St. Luke’s and Rotherham Hospices. There will be a treasure hunt and free prize quiz zone. For people wanting gentle fun activities, there will be a Wii station and also a Facebook and Twitter zone where you can learn all about Social Media and even make an account. There will be a golf simulator and even tarot card readings if that’s for you. Plus much, much, more.

The event will also consist of about 40 hand-picked local quality businesses all of which currently supply goods and services to the over 50's in the area. All product and services on display will be of great interest to everyone, whether you’re about to retire or are looking to enhance your current retirement plans.

On the day there will be a wide range of experts who will be only too happy to answer any questions that you might have to ask. There will also be a number of very informative seminars from the experts and exhibitors from the fields of Travel, mobility, health and wealth etc etc.

The event is being held as a way of raising money for local charities with 50% of the tickets proceeds going to the local hospices St. Lukes and Rotherham Hospices. Many of the events inside the venue like the Tarots card readings, golf simulator and Charity casino will be donating all funds to the Hospices.
